Hello everyone!
I would like to welcome you to my page. My name is Mr. Juan Romero. I have worked at Le Conte Middle School in a variety of positions for over 14 years. I taught 6th grade history, science, math, and ELD in all levels. I also taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades at Ramona Elementary School (5 years), which is school that sends many students to Le Conte. Currently, I'm Le Conte's EL Coordinator.

As the EL Coordinator, please reach out to me if you want more information about your child's Language Classification. We are working hard to help your child reclassify and meet the requirements needed to exit the EL program.
If your child is an EL student, to meet the requirements for reclassification, the students need to have a C or better in their English or EL class, and they must pass the ELPAC and the Reading Inventory. Annual notices with test scores are sent home in August/September of each school year so please look over those Annual EL letters closely. In case you want more information about those letters or more info on your child's test results, please feel free to visit me in the counseling office or call me at (323) 308-1719.
